Information About The Department
Basic Sciences and Humanities (F.Y. B. Tech) department includes subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Basic Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Geo informatics, Engineering Mechanics, Fundamentals of Programming Languages, Sustainable Engineering,Engineering Graphics, Technical Skill Development. Students admitted for the B. Tech. course undergo an Induction programme wherein information regarding Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha is conveyed. The students interact and visit various departments and the library, perform activities, physical exercises and the infrastructural facilities are shown to them. They are introduced to
various clubs, chapters, NSS activities etc. They are given proper orientation by arranging lectures and guest lectures on time management, methods of studying, universal human values, awareness on semester pattern and much needed information on the curriculum of autonomous structure and syllabus. The staff imparts academic guidance, counseling and mentoring throughout the academic year. Progress of the students is monitored on a regular basis.
Further, the Department prepares the students to face the future challenges essential in the core Engineering branches..
